One of our manufacturing clients in Guelph, ON is looking for a Millwright for their chemical manufacturing facility.
Shift: 3 Shift Rotational
Pay - $39-$42/hr
Roles and Responsibilities
The Millwright is tasked with conducting maintenance tasks to uphold the functionality of both primary and auxiliary production equipment, ensuring the production of high-quality goods.
They will also provide support for all predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
Additionally, the Millwright will diagnose and address issues with various equipment such as conveyor belts, packaging machinery, labelers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, valves, cylinders, conveyance systems, gear boxes, and pumps.
They will carry out specific responsibilities like planning machine installations and alignments, constructing machinery from individual components, and more.
Proficiency in working with lathe and milling machines, as well as expertise in welding (including ARC, TIG, and MIG), and familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, is essential.
Furthermore, the Millwright must be capable of installing and configuring parts using the provided vendors' manuals, including sensors, motors, speed controls, and the like.
Qualifications:
Possession of a 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) License
2-3 years of experience in a Manufacturing/Food production setting
Competence in safely operating shop equipment such as lathes, mills, saws, and milling machines
Welding experience is considered an asset
Availability for scheduled overtime as needed
Proficiency in reading blueprints.
