Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join our clients growing finance team. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in public accounting, hold a CPA designation, and have in-depth knowledge of both Canadian and U.S. tax systems. This role also requires previous experience in a family office setting, with a proven ability to manage the financial affairs of Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) individuals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage corporate accounting operations, including financial reporting, compliance, and tax preparation.
  • Handle tax planning and compliance, with expertise in both Canadian and U.S. tax regulations.
  • Oversee financial management for Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) individuals, including investments, estate planning, and other family office functions.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with relevant financial standards and practices.
  • Collaborate closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
  • Develop and implement internal financial controls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, ideally with exposure to corporate accounting practices.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian and U.S. tax laws and regulations.
  • Previous experience working in a family office, dealing directly with UHNW individuals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
  • Advanced skills in financial software and systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel).
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in investment management or financial advisory for UHNW individuals.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously.
