Salary:

DNSnetworks is looking for a Proposal Writer with 5-8 years of experience to lead our end-to-end proposal process, primarily for Government of Canada bids. This role will manage our bid development and submission process.

Roles and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Vice-President, the Proposal Writer will be responsible for:

  • End-to-end management of bids and our bid process, including competitive and non-competitive proposal material
  • Participating in defining the bid strategy and contributing to bid/no-bid process
  • Project managing bids, including defining tasks and timelines for team members and ensure proposal timelines are met
  • Providing guidance, draft content, and oversight to bid response team members and resources
  • Managing, writing, and conducting QA on proposals
  • Facilitate collaboration across team members to ensure high quality and compliant bid responses
  • Continuous improvement of our proposal process
  • Monitoring RFP release and various RFP websites to identify opportunities
  • Maintaining internal bid measurement and reporting
  • Monitoring and maintaining contract vehicle refreshes and adding new categories

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with proposal and bid activities for the Canadian Federal Government
  • Attention to detail and a relentless pursuit for quality
  • Very strong written communication skills in English
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple proposal projects with short timeframes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel

Assets

  • You can work effectively in both English and French
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma related to technical writing, communications, or business
  • You have experience and knowledge of the public sector (ie. organizations, policies, programs, processes) and has their security clearance
  • Experience project managing horizontal teams through the bid development process
