OVERVIEW

The FT. Shift Leader (FT.SL) plays an important role in driving sales for the organization. Shift Leader will meet personal selling goals and will coach and motivate associates to achieve their own goals as well. The Shift Leader ensures customers have a consistent; quality experience while supporting management in meeting Company expectations and initiatives. The Shift Leader will ensure store standards, which include but are not limited to visual presentation, merchandising and back of house operations, as per Company direction.

The Shift Leader must have flexible availability which includes the ability to work during peak and non-peak times, weekends, and holidays. This allows the Shift Leader to open or close the store as well as provide coverage during peak times to cover breaks, meetings and other times as determined by the Store Manager (SM) or Assistant Manager (ASM). The Shift Leader helps set the pace on the sales floor and models desired selling behaviors at all times. The Shift Leader could be scheduled up to 25 hours per week, however hours may flex up to 30 hours (with District Manager approval) based on the needs of the business.

PT.SL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

The Shift Leader must demonstrate a set of competencies/skills that establish them as a sales driver within the store as well as show the ability to execute and give direction. These competencies outline a skill set that is required of a Shift Leader to be successful in their role.

Competencies include but are not limited to:People: Influences people through effective communication. The FT. SL can influence people through motivation and persuasion, as well as direct and delegate tasks.

Results: Stays focused on performance. The FT. SL drives results and ensures accountability to those results. The FT. SL is action oriented.

Thought: Shows that they understand the business through a strong customer focus and financial acumen.

Self: Remains flexible and adaptable and can manage ambiguity. The PTSL is resilient and maintains composure in all situations.

A Shift Leader is not directly responsible for addressing the following; however, they may be exposed to these responsibilities through training and development by the Store Manager:

  • Hiring/Interviewing • Performance Management • Setting Schedules • Termination

The Shift Leader may perform other related duties as required by the Company, store/field leadership, and especially regarding serving the customer.

Job Description

We are looking for a Brand Ambassador to offer personalized services to our customers to help them choose the right cosmetics.

Brand Ambassador's responsibilities include demonstrating body care cosmetics techniques, suggesting products that meet clients' needs and informing customers about product details, like ingredients, application methods and price. To be successful in this role, you are customer-service oriented and are familiar with beauty products. Ultimately, you will help achieve our sales quotas while promoting our cosmetic products to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure associates consistently demonstrate client service standards
  • Display expert product knowledge of product, company history, company policy and store/company strategies
  • Demonstrate proper use of cosmetics and skin care products.
  • Cross-sell beauty products, when appropriate (e.g., serums, body lotions and exfoliants)
  • Identify customer needs and recommend cosmetics and skin care products based on their preferences.
  • Help clients find products they're looking for in our store.
  • Ensure proper presentation of products on shelves.
  • Explain to customers how to use products they're interested in buying.
  • Advise customers on how to take care of their skin.
  • Inform customers on prices and special offers.
  • Replenish stock as needed.
  • Train and motivate associates to improve selling and customer service performance
  • Lead selling and service efforts as the MOD during scheduled shifts
  • Assist in resolving customer service matters in absence of SM/AM
  • Communicate individual and team performance feedback to management
  • Assist SM/AM in conducting new associate on-boarding and sales training.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policy, procedures, and guidelines in the absence of SM/AM
  • Assist in meeting payroll goals by ensuring appropriate floor coverage and maintaining a selling focus in absence of SM/AM
  • Ensure associates receive scheduled breaks and meal periods in absence of SM/AM
  • Provide leadership or assistance with floor sets, and other merchandising and visual expectations

Requirements and skills

  • Previous experience as a Beauty Advisor or similar role
  • Customer service experience in retail stores.
  • Extensive knowledge of cosmetics and body products.
  • Ability to demonstrate and promote beauty products on the spot (e.g., how to apply face creams)
  • Understanding of which products suit different skin types.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and pleasant during peak hours.
  • High school diploma
  • Additional education in Cosmetology or relevant field is a plus.
