As an entry level Production Team Member, the successful candidate should possess the motivation and ambition to safely develop their skills to progress to one of 4 Production Teams. There are a variety of career development paths at Grande Prairie OSB including: Finishing End, Woodroom, Logyard, and more.
You'll Do:
- Work safely in a collaborate and team-focused manufacturing environment
- Operate forklift, aerial lift, skid steer and other mobile equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance and clean up contributing to our high housekeeping standards
- Involvement in ongoing process improvements
- Ability to flow to work with a positive approach to managing change
- Learn the OSB manufacturing process - proactively troubleshooting and problem solving to improve our process reliability
- Comply with all Company safety standards and protocol
- Other duties as assigned
You have:
- Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent
- Unwavering commitment to safety
- Ability to accept direction and work with limited direct supervision
- Eagerness and ability to further develop skills and advance career
- Ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which may include respirators and fall arrest harness, along with other standard PPE
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
- Physical ability to safely lift/carry items of various size/weight and perform repetitive tasks in an industrial environment
- Proven track record of being reliable and dependable with limited absenteeism or tardiness
- Effective communication skills with a genuinely positive attitude and optimistic outlook – building upon a collaborate team-focused environment
- Basic computer skill sets & ability to develop further
