Executive Aviation is excited to announce that we are looking for a Station Manager for our St. John's International Airport team (YYT). In this role you will be responsible for promoting a safe and positive work environment while managing a team of people including Ramp and Customer Service Coordinators, Leads, Customer Service Agents and Ground Handlers. You will be working closely with the Director of Operations as well as maintaining our strong relationships and reputation with our airline partners and airport stakeholders. We are looking for an energetic and dynamic problem solver, progressive thinker, and someone who has the proven ability to lead and create efficiencies in the operation.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and promote safety ensuring incidents and hazards are managed in accordance with the company and airlines SMS programs
  • Manage local quality assurance through audits and procedural reviews
  • Ensure the day-to-day ground handling operations for the St. John's base are set up for success.
  • Manage scheduling and attendance to ensure optimal coverage against budget.
  • Analyze operational needs and Service Level Agreements while looking for opportunities to create efficiencies.
  • Manage relationships with airline partners and the airport stakeholders to ensure we meet or exceed program and contract requirements and to represent Executive Aviation's commitment to safety and customer service
  • Promote managerial best practices and ensure company policies and procedures are in place and being followed
  • Foster an engaging, high-performing work environment with a significant focus on personal and professional growth of your team
  • Ensure Executive Aviation and Airlines training programs are being delivered and recorded in a timely manner
  • Manage all aspects of recruiting new team members and their orientation.
  • Responsible for approving payroll.
  • Ensure daily administration is completed to a high standard (flight logs, extra services, equipment fuel etc.)
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years' aviation ground handling or airline experience
  • Minimum 3 years' management experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Must be able to hold a valid RAIC/ Security clearance for airside access
  • Proficient on Excel and Word
  • Must have on call availability
