The Paradise Animal Hospital and Wellness Centre in Paradise, NL (suburbs of St. John's) is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our progressive, busy, small animal practice. To help you help them, we offer 30 minute appointment times, file dictation and the support of 30 fabulous and knowledgeable support staff. We offer a walk-in service from 8 am to 10 am for urgent care or emergency appointments and rotate our doctors on the schedule to cover these walk-in appointments. As an RVT this provides daily opportunities to utilize your valuable technician skills.

About The Role:

Our ideal Client Care/Receptionist builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. This involves greeting and checking-in clients in a friendly and warm manner; receiving incoming calls from current and prospective clients utilizing a courteous and caring approach. This person will appropriately screen calls, book appointments, take detailed messages as well as provide knowledgeable non-medical information to clients. Responsibilities also include performing a variety of administrative office tasks, including mail (receiving, sorting, distributing, posting), drafting memos and other correspondence, completing reports and other ad-hoc document requests. As well as, excellent client and staff communications. Experience in client care reception and veterinary assistant skills are an asset.
