VEE Inc. is hiring for Maintenance Supervisor for the our client Stackpole International Inc.

Job Description

As a key member of our operations management team is responsible for day to day activities of the maintenance department including the supervision, development, and leadership of a highly skilled technical staff, and the maintenance, refurbishment and repair of all production equipment and facilities as per company procedures, maintain and report out on established department key measurable. Also responsible to provide technical leadership and skilled technical resources for the assembly, debugging, installation, and start-up of new or modified production equipment from the perspective of mechanical assembly and electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls installation. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving our organized and well equipped maintenance department from the perspective of inventory control, housekeeping and project organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, working with the Maintenance, Operations, Quality, and Engineering departments, and responsible for direction of facilities Maintenance staff, ensure the needs and objectives of the facilities maintenance department are met including the maintenance and repair of facilities and production equipment.
  • Work in compliance with FPS Safety, Quality, & Environmental Systems
  • Working in conjunction with the project engineering or independently as required, ensure adequate skilled resources are available and play a leadership role in plant equipment maintenance
  • Ensure production support for continued operation
  • Maintenance of equipment as per company standards including preventive / predictive systems, departmental purchasing, and wears and spares inventory control.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • C of Q in Electrical or Millwright trade andor relevant industrial experience. Alternate technical degree may also be applicable with a proven track record of relevant experience.
  • Hands on technical skills with respect to Mechanical Assembly, Machine Repair, Electrical Systems, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic systems, PLC and CNC based control and logic systems are a definite asset.
  • 5 yrs minimum supervisory experience in maintenance and repair activities for CNC machining and automated assembly applications in a high paced, high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of automotive systems and quality requirements
  • Excellent communications, leadership, negotiation, conflict management, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Willing to work weekend and rotating shifts
