Job Brief:

Warehouse Personnel are responsible for processing and packaging items for shipment and receiving incoming merchandise for warehouse storage. This role will also load and unload trucks and make customer deliveries with a focus on safety and customer service.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Assembles containers, records contents, packs goods to be shipped with identifying information.
  • Utilizes equipment (i.e., skid steer, forklift) to load and unload inventory from trucks or other conveyances.
  • Inspects and verifies incoming goods, records shortages, and rejects damaged goods.
  • Unpacks and routes goods to appropriate storage areas.
  • Maintains record-keeping systems.
  • Delivers customer orders and picks up materials orders from vendors via company truck.
  • Prepares orders for shipment: picks parts, stages for shipping, determines method of shipment, arranges shipping, prepares shipping documents.
  • Maintains tidiness of the warehouse, storage, and yard.
  • Participates/complies with company safety programs & company policies.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Post secondary courses in warehousing is an asset.
  • Valid unrestricted Class 5 driver's license.
  • Standard First Aid/CPR with AED, H2S Alive, CSO, CSTS.
  • Forklift and skid steer experience or certification is an asset.
  • Proficiency in operating a forklift, skid steer, or other warehouse equipment.
  • Familiarity with oil and gas service industry is an asset.
  • Manual dexterity (ability to perform lifting, climbing, bending, and carrying items).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good written and verbal comprehension.
  • Strong time management skills are important.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Flexible work schedule, including stat holidays, weekends, overtime as required.
  • Able to pull and back up trailers up to 30 feet long.
  • Comfortable with driving on oil field service roads and/or less than ideal roads conditions (ice, snow, etc.).
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning system (IFS) is an asset.
