As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day account leadership and project management, including activities such as media and influencer relations, digital content development and channel management, research and analysis, issues management, and stakeholder engagement. You will engage directly with clients and develop client-facing deliverables of increasing complexity, as well as supporting new business activities. You will continue to build relationships and knowledge on your assigned accounts, deepening your understanding of the PR industry and Argyle's operations. You will build your understanding of your clients' businesses and needs, including participating in or leading planning and strategy development. You will continue to advance your writing, presentation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as well as demonstrating a keen attention to detail, good time and project management, and mentorship and leadership abilities.

Detailed Responsibilities:

As an Account Manager, you will support client programs, which may include:

  • Media and influencer/ creator relations planning and execution
  • Campaign planning and activation
  • Writing, editing and proofreading
  • Digital content development and channel management
  • Media monitoring and reporting
  • Research and analysis
  • Supporting issues management
  • Project management
  • Account management
  • Client communications and meetings

You will also support the Argyle team, including:

  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues
  • Mentoring and coaching junior colleagues
  • Participating in team and company meetings and events
  • Presenting in internal meetings
  • New business research and reporting
  • Industry issues and trends monitoring
  • Participating in ongoing learning and development opportunities

What we're looking for:

  • Public Relations or relevant, bachelor's degree or associate post-graduate certificate
  • 3-4 + years' experience at agency or corporate communications experience
  • Strong understanding of the media and influencer landscape
  • Strong understanding of PR agencies and how they function
  • Solid understanding of, and ideally experience with, key issues related to Canada's technology and financial sectors

Additional Considerations:

  • Professional and effective writing and editing for a range of platforms
  • Excellent understanding of the media landscape and media relations planning, execution, tracking and reporting
  • Strong understanding of influencer and/or stakeholder relations planning, engagement, activation (including events) and reporting
  • Solid research and analysis skills, including research brief development and knowledge of a range of research types and inputs
  • Understanding of corporate reputation risk and issues management protocols and materials development
  • Enthusiasm for learning and building new skills, and the ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to identify opportunities to provide support to clients, including organic growth
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines, prioritize projects, and work efficiently
  • Basic understanding of relevant client businesses models and industries
