The Role

The Innovation & Marketing Specialist will play a crucial role in advancing Ganong's product development and innovation strategy. Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, this role collaborates closely with the Food Innovation Scientist and cross-functional teams to ensure new products are effectively brought to market. The primary focus will be managing the entire product lifecycle—from initial concept to post-launch evaluation—while ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives. This role is key to driving packaging innovation, coordinating product testing, and delivering high-quality, market-ready products that uphold Ganong's commitment to sustainability, quality, and growth.

You are a creative problem-solver with a passion for innovation and a strong understanding of both

marketing and product development. With a keen eye for detail and the ability to see the big picture, you thrive in cross-functional team settings and excel at managing projects from concept to completion. You have experience in overseeing the product lifecycle and are driven by the desire to bring high-quality products to market that align with both business goals and customer expectations.

Your excellent communication skills allow you to collaborate effectively with teams across the organization, ensuring that every project is executed smoothly and on time. You are highly organized, adept at multitasking, and comfortable navigating the complexities of product innovation while always keeping an eye on sustainability and quality. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, or a related field; relevant experience will also be considered.
  • 2-3 years of experience in product development, marketing, or project coordination, ideally within the food or consumer goods industry.
  • Familiarity with managing aspects of the product lifecycle, from initial concept to launch.
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles, product positioning, and packaging design.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, R&D, and operations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with project management tools or software is an asset, but not required.
