With a rapidly growing portfolio of in-licensed novel prescription treatments, Kye has a unique opportunity and an immediate opening for Rare Disease Lead. The successful candidate will join a team of highly motivated professionals committed to building a growth-stage organization with start-up agility based on scientific and medical integrity. The Rare Disease Lead is a dynamic individual who will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, driving patient advocacy initiatives, ensuring market access, managing stakeholder relations, and engaging with payers. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the rare disease landscape, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various functions.

This position reports directly to Julian Oliver, Director, Marketing and Business Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong team leadership and collaboration capabilities
  • Translate corporate strategies into tactical plans to support organizational growth objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with patient advocacy groups and organizations
  • Develop and execute market access strategies to ensure timely and equitable access to rare disease treatments
  • Create strong insight generation plans to ensure optimal analysis of market dynamics
  • Develop innovative solutions to address potential barriers and value generating activities based on differentiated brand attributes
  • Implement and lead Patient Support Program initiatives across the rare disease portfolio
  • Establish and build direct customer relationships to deepen understanding of therapeutic area, clinical practice, and patient journey; to identify and develop meaningful, patient focused value
  • Deliver accurate and timely reporting to support decision making and spending performance
  • Work closely with commercial leadership to ensure alignment on brand positioning, strategy, customer segmentation and messaging to achieve brand objectives
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding and application of Kye values
  • Champion the voice of rare disease stakeholders internally and reinforce Kye's ongoing commitment to the rare disease communities we serve

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in marketing/commercial/patient advocacy roles
  • Dynamic and adaptable, thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Demonstrates proactivity, and seeks opportunity, when facing ambiguity
  • Excellent communication, and engagement skills facing both peers and customers, in individual conversation and group presentation levels including on virtual platforms
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, and committed collaborator
  • Ability to effectively work and thrive in a cross functional team-based environment
  • Ability to build and manage multi/omni channel initiatives
  • Ability to quickly move insights to commercial actions
  • Skills in budget ownership and ROI analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in rare disease environments, including related organizations, regulations, policy frameworks and reimbursement pathways
  • Experience in Sales and/or Marketing Operations
  • Experience in selectively engaging agencies / vendors to augment go-to-market model
  • Brand launch experience in marketing
  • Previous experience or knowledge in neuroscience-related therapeutic areas
