Purpose of the Role

As the Lead, Service Desk, you'll provide collaborative and trust-based leadership to a team of brilliant IT staff that supply Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to internal and external customers. You will be the subject matter expert, and will manage service portal deployments and support the development of IT and Cyber Security processes and procedures at Svante.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, combined with a minimum of 3 years of experience leading a small service desk team and managing staff.
  • You are certified in a relevant field such as ITIL, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+.
  • You have hands-on experience with configuring and supporting Windows desktop OS, Office 365 installation, Active Directory user management, and other relevant technologies for end users.
  • You have excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • You are a quick learner with a strong ability to troubleshoot and have collaborative problem resolution skills.

What Success looks like in this role

  • You will manage, report on, and improve performance of Digital Business service desk function.
  • You'll provide people and technical leadership to service desk team for day-to-day operations.
  • You'll oversee Digital Business Service Desk processes, including users' access (non-privileged) management, onboarding and offboarding, the procurement for approved end user hardware, and software & asset management.
  • You will drive efficiency and Lean IT concept by developing and implementing process automation and integration to reduce manual and repetitive tasks.
  • You'll support the development of IT and Cyber Security processes and procedures.
