Responsibilities:

• Visual check of wrapping machines, label applicator and date coder prior to start-up
• Ensure wrapping machine is set-up and ready for production
• Have an adequate supply of film, sleeves and glue prior to production start
• Make sure all the seals on film are air tight and that glue on sleeves is adequate
• Work in accordance with Company policies, Departmental procedures, GMP regulations and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Work closely with Lead hand, Line Operator and packaging crew members
• Timely and accurate completion of all paperwork, (i.e. Complete pre-op inspection checks, etc.)
• Communicate any product deficiencies to Line Operator / Lead hand, QA/Supervisor.
• Ensure rework and perishable ingredients are used in a timely manner to avoid loss.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Completed (minimum) Grade 12 education or equivalent, with basic math skills
• Good understanding and application of English oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with accuracy in order to keep up with the production process
• Able to work with minimum supervision in a diverse team environment
