Overview

We're looking for a Senior Manager Retail Operations (Maternity Leave Contract) to join our Vancouver HQ! This 14-month maternity leave position plays a pivotal role in supporting our growing retail presence and teams. In this key role, you'll be the crucial link between our HQ and Retail Leadership by providing operational support, expertise and communication plans, driving business objectives to meet key timelines and deliverables. Salary Range: $106,000 - $119,000

What You'll Do:

Operations

  • Owner and executional lead of the retail support process for stores
  • Own the retail operations task and project prioritization and backlog
  • Ensure operational changes are completed on time and on budget
  • Create detailed plans for execution including pre launch UAT testing, store communications and go live checklists
  • Escalate urgent and high impact priorities to the Director of Retail

Store Enablement

  • Accountable for the enablement of KPI tracking and communication of retail program to the Director of Retail and Senior Leadership
  • Partner with cross functional leadership to foster a culture of measurement - generate insights to support decision making
  • Own the implementation of new retail SOPs and initiatives
  • Implement brand campaigns, new product launches and promotions go live at store level
  • Monitor and assess readiness to ensure the store is ready to go (ex. Inventory, POS setup, marketing assets, visual merchandising)
  • Support the hiring and onboarding of new retail managers
  • Owner of large transformational projects that improve retail operations

Communication

  • Key HQ point of contact for Store Leadership (Multi Unit Manager, Store Manager, Assistant Manager)
  • Provide in-field insights on retail team efforts to support organizational goals or challenges
  • Participate in post campaign de-briefs
  • Participate in weekly operational meetings with cross functional leads
  • Support with QBR preparation and presentations
  • Key HQ point of contact with our main Retail partners (ex. Shopify, 3rd party IT team, landlords) for operational improvements or issues

Store Expansion

  • Key stakeholder in retail expansion and retail renovation projects
  • Owner of store specific operational requirements
  • Responsible for the transition from key handover to the Retail management team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years in retail operations support
  • 6+ years in project or program management
  • Experience working for an omnichannel retailer and understands the retail pillars (people management, sales management, visual merchandising, marketing, logistics, IT and third party management)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to senior leadership
  • Experience in building processes from the ground up
  • Demonstrated consulting, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Creative problem solving skills and a customer centric mindset

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Shopify
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Led a large transformational project (ex. tech implementation or store opening)
  • Experience with apparel or footwear retail landscape
