Position Summary
Do you enjoy organizing and ensuring that materials are in their proper place? Are you a team player who takes pride in loading and securing products for transport in a safe and efficient manner?
The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and rigging products for delivery across Western Canada, while also maintaining an organized yard. This role involves the safe operation of equipment, including overhead cranes, gantry cranes, and shunt trucks. The position requires outdoor work in various weather conditions and includes physically demanding tasks, such as assisting and instructing crane operators and riggers

Job Description
- Assist with loading and rigging, use of crane signals
- Safely operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move material and product (i.e.: overhead cranes, gantry cranes, shunt trucks)
- Responsible for general yard and loading bay laboring duties
- Ensure the yard and shipping area is kept organized and clean
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 license and an acceptable driver's abstract
- Available to work 10-12 hours/day Monday to Friday, occasional Saturday
- Physically fit with the ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods
- Basic understanding of construction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work at heights, up to 16 feet
- Follow instructions working with a team and independently
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Proficient in both verbal and written English communication
- Applicants will be required to complete a pre-employment assessment prior to hire
- Local or willing to relocate to Central Alberta
Assets
- Completion of Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)
- Equipment operation experience including but not limited to: overhead crane, gantry crane, shunt trucks
- Knowledge and experience with rigging
