JOB SUMMARY
Provides support to other employees and coordinates business communication. Key duties include directing phone calls, responding to inquiries, and logistics coordination. In addition to performing general clerical work for their department, the incumbent will create and maintain record keeping systems, work closely with the management team, and communicate with vendors, contractors, finance team, and customers.

JOB SUMMARY
Provides support to other employees and coordinates business communication. Key duties include directing phone calls, responding to inquiries, and logistics coordination. In addition to performing general clerical work for their department, the incumbent will create and maintain record keeping systems, work closely with the management team, and communicate with vendors, contractors, finance team, and customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices using Oracle
- Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
- Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Bookkeeping & filing
- Answering phone and directing calls regarding general inquires, bin program, pricing etc.
- Data entry/maintain various spreadsheets
- Cheque runs (weekly, monthly, as needed)
- Coverage for absences (sick, vacation etc.) for scale operator
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-3 years' progressive experience in the administration field
- Accounts payable experience is considered an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with Oracle would be considered an asset
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Ability to use enterprise-level financial record-keeping software systems, spreadsheets, and email applications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to complete a high volume of work within deadlines
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Excellent knowledge of basic accounting concepts
- Strong attention to detail
