Overview: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analyzing and optimizing voice network solutions, particularly in the toll-free space. You will work closely with the Services Architect and Technical Team Lead to ensure the successful design, testing, and implementation of solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Services Architect and Technical Team Lead to contribute to the overall design of solutions. Participate in design reviews and code reviews as needed.
- Work with cross-functional teams to test changes and additions related to the overall design, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the design and implementation phases.
- Utilize knowledge of the ConceptWave Toll Free SMS application for provisioning to support solution development.
- Apply a high-level understanding of the SOMOS 800 database and basic transaction types in your analyses and testing activities.
- Develop, execute, and document detailed test plans and test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage and accurate results.
- Record and analyze results from detailed test cases to validate solution performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the Agnity Communication Application CAS platform and its role in the broader network architecture.
- Leverage strong knowledge of voice networks and the positioning of the Toll Free solution within the network to inform your analyses and recommendations.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite to create and manage testing reports, Method of Procedure (MOPs), test cases, and specification documents.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, particularly in the telecom or voice network industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the ConceptWave Toll Free SMS application for provisioning.
- High-level understanding of SOMOS 800 database and basic transaction types.
- Proficiency in building and executing detailed test plans and test cases.
- Detailed understanding of the Agnity Communication Application CAS platform.
- Strong knowledge of voice networks and the role of Toll Free solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, for documentation and reporting.
Additional Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in testing and documentation.
Benefits
- Work hours are Monday - Friday, normal 37.5 hours weeks working onsite up to 5 days a week
- Location: Ottawa, ON
- Type of job: Temporary Contractor
- Date candidate required: Immediate
- Length of Contract: 12 months with the possibility of extension
