Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia is currently searching for an Executive Assistant to CEO to join our team in Burnaby!
The Executive Assistant to CEO works closely with the CEO and members of the Executive and Leadership Team, providing confidential and personal administrative support to the CEO.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Providing support to the CEO including calendar management, travel arrangements, expense reconciliation, and other duties as required.
  • Overseeing all incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls, reports, presentations, and internal correspondence.
  • Conducting research and creating reports or presentations on various topics based on the needs of the CEO/executive.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with key internal and external partners.
  • Planning, organizing and coordinating internal and external meetings under the direction of the CEO. Facilitating the development and compilation of agendas, action item lists, and records minutes of meetings.
  • Planning, organizing and coordinating offsite workshops/meetings including Senior Leadership and/or Leadership Team workshops/meetings, Strategic Planning sessions, and the annual All Staff Workshop.
  • Acting as the liaison between Engineers and Geoscientists BC and Engineers Canada and Geoscientists Canada and provides support to Engineers and Geoscientists BC representatives of Engineers Canada and to Geoscience Canada as required.
  • Responsible for recording the minutes of the Annual General Meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by the CEO.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of related experience supporting executives and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in core MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Forms) and PDF editing software such as Foxit and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Experience hosting and facilitating virtual meetings on platforms such as Teams and Zoom.
  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and business writing skills.
  • High level of professionalism; self-directed and flexible.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.

This role offers a competitive compensation and benefits program including a salary within our hiring range of $75,000 to $84,000. Placement within the hiring range will be based on candidate experience relative to the requirements of the role. Additional details on our generous benefit offerings are found below.
