BRC is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our extraordinary and growing team as a Wood Product Prepper in our Assembly department. Position Summary

The Wood Product Prepper (Prepper) is responsible for performing routine and varied tasks in alignment with production processes within the assembly department. The Prepper will be required to cross-train on positions and comply with SOPs and quality standards of product while adhering to Health & Safety and BRC policies on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities
  • Openly participates in educational and cross-training opportunities as applicable to the position.
  • Will be required to operate and attend to manual and automated tools.
  • Will be required to Fasten small parts preparing for the assembly (slides, pins, cams, etc.), using tools such as drills, screw drivers, scrapers and rags.
  • Will be required to collect all required parts for each order.
  • Will be required to check pieces for any manufacturing defects as required.
  • Follows all production procedures as instructed.
  • Performs all work to BRC standards and ensure final product meets quality standards.
  • Determines and reports product and equipment malfunctions to Production Supervisor or Plant Manager.
  • Works effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency.
  • Ensures the daily and weekly production schedule is adhered to.
  • Complies with all company health and safety policies and procedures at all times. Without limitation, wears Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
  • Must use good attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintains a clean and well-organized work area.
  • Basic; respectful, courteous and works well with others and builds effective working relationships within the department and BRC.
  • Works overtime as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned from time to time at the discretion of management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience, and/or combined post-secondary education experience.
  • Knowledge of Product quality and good production methods
  • Is able to lift materials up to 50 pounds and to carry, move, manipulate and/or position them and to move, bend, twist or maintaining awkward body positions while performing work.
  • Has good hand and eye co-ordination and muscular control sufficient to operate tools or equipment and to see closely and/or listen intently in order to achieve very detailed results and/or detect flaws or errors.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Occasional lifting of moderately heavy objects may be required.
  • Will be required to stand for 8 hours a day.

  • Hours of Work: 3:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m.
