Overview:
We are currently working with a logistics company based in North York that is seeking a highly capable and proactive Controller. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to step into a leadership role, driving the financial operations of a dynamic company with significant growth potential.

The Role:
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Controller will take charge of the finance team, overseeing core areas such as Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and overall Profit and Loss (P&L) management. The ideal candidate will be experienced with QuickBooks and comfortable leading a small but growing team, ensuring financial accuracy and delivering key insights that will guide the companys strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all financial operations, including AP, AR, and payroll
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Maintain and manage the companys P&L, ensuring profitability and financial health
• Utilize QuickBooks for accounting and financial management
• Provide financial analysis and reports to the CEO to support business growth
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards
• Mentor and develop members of the finance team as the company grows

What We're Looking For:

• CA or CPA designation is essential
• Proven experience in a Controller or senior accounting role
• Strong background in financial reporting, AP/AR, and P&L management
• Expertise in QuickBooks is essential
• Leadership experience with a track record of managing and developing teams
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and provide strategic financial insights
