E.S. Fox Limited is looking for a Material Coordinator to support its project site in Bruce County, Ontario, on a contract basis.

Summary of the Role:

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, Nuclear Services, the Material Coordinator will be responsible for administering the material supply process to support project needs at Bruce Power's site in Tiverton, Ontario. This role involves planning, reporting, coordinating, and expediting materials in alignment with project schedules. The successful candidate will ensure effective procurement, timely delivery, and accurate tracking of materials, leveraging strong supply chain principles and experience. Collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliers will be critical to managing procurement activities and mitigating potential schedule risks. Prior experience in the nuclear generation industry and knowledge of multi-trade disciplines will be highly valuable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Project Managers and finance teams, to ensure purchasing activities (Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, etc.) align with and meet project schedules.
  • Generate and submit Purchase Requisitions for review, approval, and processing, ensuring timely support for procurement needs.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to expedite critical procurement activities and ensure on-time delivery of goods and services when necessary.
  • Monitor project schedule milestones and proactively engage relevant teams to ensure timely procurement and compliance with project deadlines.
  • Identify and notify key internal stakeholders of any potential procurement-related schedule risks, collaborating to implement mitigation strategies where required.
  • Maintain and regularly update the Company Material Tracking File (MTF) for assigned jobs, ensuring accuracy and real-time access to information for all relevant parties.
  • Support the closeout of Purchase Orders by finalizing procurement documentation, resolving outstanding issues, and ensuring proper record archiving.

Key Requirements, Experience, and Skills:

  • Must possess Bruce Power Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain it.
  • Strong understanding of Purchase Orders and supplier communication, including contract terms, delivery schedules, and issue resolution.
  • A college diploma in business administration, commerce, economics, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience as a Material Expeditor, Coordinator, or Purchasing Agent is a strong asset.
  • Experience working in the nuclear generation industry, particularly within CANDU environments, is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with multi-trade disciplines, with the ability to coordinate across various trades and suppliers.
