Oceanside Security & Patrol is adding to its team of licensed security professionals by expanding its mobile patrol unit. A Vancouver Island, family-owned and operated company, Oceanside Security has built its reputation by providing dedicated, professional service to its expanding list of clients – priding ourselves on serving the communities where we live. Our new Mobile Security Guard must be available for nights and weekend shifts.

This position is for Nanaimo, British-Columbia, Canada.

What you need to bring:

• Either possess a BC Security License
• Two years security guard experience
• Mobile Security experience is an asset.

• Valid BC driver's license with clean driver's abstract

• Experience interacting with all classes of citizens

• Be a strong communicator – both verbal and written

• Have compassion / Be respectful / A decision-maker

• Experienced with computers and smartphones

• Willing to provide exceptional customer service

• Physically capable of working an eight-hour shift

Mobile Security Guard Responsibilities:

• Ability to work in different locations – offices, malls, parks, events

• Ensuring the security of client's assets & property

• Without exception to always safely operate patrol vehicles

• To always provide excellent customer service

• Ability to carry out foot patrols at multiple locations during shift

• Speedy response to any alarms or call-outs at client sites

• To interact with a wide range of people in different settings

• To enforce private property laws with compassion / respect

• Accurately observe, record, and report activities / incidents
