NOTE: This position is currently listed as "Onsite"; however, the Assignment under this request will provisionally be "Hybrid", working 7.25 hours per calendar day, sometime between 8:00-5:00 PM (excluding lunch breaks) Monday to Friday inclusive, unless otherwise identified. These conditions are subject to change as the OPS reflects on its current situation. During the duration of the assignment you will be under the discretion of the Hiring Manager's requirements for the Project you are assigned to.
The VOR Master Service Agreement which expires on April 5, 2025, leaves some Contracts with funding unassigned for fiscal 2024-25. If the current statement of work expires March 31, 2025, the remaining funds can be used to exercise an option to extend the SOW beyond March 31, 2025 based on business case approvals. Such extensions will be allowable, only if the Master Service Agreement is extended beyond April 5, 2025 and be upon the same terms, conditions, covenants contained in the SOW.
Scope:
Plan and lead project(s) as part of large multi-ministry/multi-year initiatives involving complex network architecture, advanced and innovative telecommunications/video/Video over I/P (VoIP), and audio/visual systems
Manage client relationships/networks as well as partnerships with business areas
Manage project teams and provide guidance on the use of audio visual and information technology in client business planning and business improvement initiatives
Develop project charters and master project plans, guide the definition of goals, deliverables and scope working with internal clients and stakeholders, I&IT specialists, business planners to ensure clarity, accuracy and acceptance
Identify and assess risks, and recommend mitigation measures for approval
Provide leadership to project teams, external service providers and contractors
Identify impact of change, escalate to project sponsor for decision, revise work plans, schedule, and project budget to implement approved changes
Provide specialized advice and expertise to client groups and for the development of business cases and Treasury Board / Management Board of Cabinet submissions.
Coordinate I&IT procurement to acquire and negotiate goods and services and administer contractual agreements.

Project planning and management experience related to all phases of concurrent audio visual and I&IT projects, including medium to large scale, technically complex projects across a range of enterprise technologies

Knowledge of IT security requirements, and best practices in implementing high availability solutions with requirement of hosting solutions with high sensitivity and confidentiality ratings

Procurement knowledge to acquire and negotiate goods and services by providing expertise and administering contractual agreements
Working knowledge of I&IT and computer protocols and frameworks specific to the program system(s) currently in use
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook), and Microsoft Project software packages
