The Role:

Air sales division is responsible for quoting air-only requests to Travel Agencies within North America. The Commercial Sales Manager - Air oversees the entry and management of air travel quotes and bookings using TBX, GDS, and Amadeus systems while ensuring accuracy in fare construction and compliance with airline contracts. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and sales skills, in-depth knowledge of airline routings, and experience in closing deals while meeting sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Marketing & Promoting the air only Call Centers (Group Air, Complex Desk, and B2B/B2C online engines)
  2. Tracking & Managing current/new KPI's
  3. Growing Air volume (tickets), revenue (margins), and overall gross sales.
  4. Train and develop current staff to achieve strong customer service awareness, and higher revenue wins.
  5. Track and measure individual sales targets
  6. Work with internal VP/Managers assisting with the air growth within their business units
  7. Along with the commercial airline contracting team, assist in growing the overall air contract portfolio.
  8. Manage and promote customer loyalty program
  9. Assist back-office team with automation, and AI integration processes.
  10. Help create an efficiency culture within GowayAir sales team
  11. Establish positive relationships with Airline partners, and suppliers alike
  12. Create & Manage strategic airline selling plans based on backend opportunities
  13. Develop strong sales reporting delivery methods; creating real-time awareness of pitfalls, and opportunities.
  14. Create/Manage working budgets, and current/future business plans.
  15. Implement and oversee old/new software projects
  16. Suss out new revenue sources via global opportunities.
  17. Identify, and plan out the risk management process

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong working knowledge of ticketing, back-office software solutions, and Amadeus.
