Our dynamic team is growing and we are searching for the right individual to join our Spence Studio Team in Vancouver, BC, as an Entry Level Diamond Sorter. In this role the diamond sorter will sort small diamonds by weight and dimensions into specific customer orders. Stones are sorted visually using tweezers and by weight using highly sensitive scales. The sorter is also responsible for making sure the diamond inventory remains accurate.

Responsibilities:

• Manage small diamond inventory
• Preparation of daily shipment, receiving and shipping
• Sorting diamonds according to size for use in jewelry, using sieve, loupe, and precision measuring instruments
• Reading work orders to determine sizes required to fit mountings
• Measuring diamonds, using magnifying tools, or sorts diamonds, using sieve of specified diameter, to segregate sizes required
• Data entry in Microsoft Excel

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work within a team setting, excellent interpersonal and listening skills
• Proficient Microsoft Office and computer skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in jewelry industry is an asset but not necessary
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada full-time

Compensation

• $20 per hour
