We're looking for a Healthcare Analyst – Proposal Development to join our team. This full-time role will work closely with our VP, Insights & Strategy to support Throughline's business development efforts. This role will assist in crafting proposals, refining product offerings, and writing pitch and marketing materials. The ideal candidate has a passion for applied behavioral science frameworks, enjoys creating content, and is eager to contribute to a growing company.
What the Healthcare Analyst - Proposal Development will be Doing Day to Day:
- Proposal Writing & Coordination: Assist in drafting, editing, and submitting client proposals, ensuring that all submissions are timely and aligned with the company's strategy and messaging.
- Product Offering Development: Collaborate with the team to develop and refine our services, frameworks, and solutions that meet client needs and market trends. Assist in conducting competitor analysis to identify opportunities to differentiate our offerings.
- Pitch & Capabilities Presentation Creation: Support the development of compelling and visually engaging pitch decks and presentations that communicate the firm's value proposition and expertise to potential clients.
- Thought Leadership Development: Help to research and develop thought leadership pieces, particularly focused on behavioral science frameworks and their applications in consulting. Write LinkedIn posts that showcase Throughline's thought leadership and POV on key healthcare topics.
- Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with senior team members to contribute to brainstorming sessions and strategy development for new business initiatives.
- Market & Opportunity Research: Conduct research to identify new business opportunities, including industry trends, prospective clients, and upcoming RFPs (Request for Proposals).
- Project Management Support: Provide general administrative and project management support for business development activities, including scheduling meetings, preparing meeting agendas, tracking action items, building and managing timelines, identifying risks, etc.
Requirements
Desired skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in social science (e.g. sociology, anthropology, behavioral economics, political science, public health, etc.)
- Must be an excellent writer
- Must be able to communicate complex ideas in an organized, easy-to-understand way
- Strong critical thinker
- Proactive; demonstrates good judgment and thrives working with ambiguity
- Attention to detail
- Works well with senior team members and able to operate with discretion
- Great listening and collaboration skills
- Able to work in a self-directed manner
- Can quickly incorporate feedback into enhancing performance
- Passion for applying social and behavioral science to create impact in a business environment
- Experience working in an office environment/corporate setting is a plus
- Healthcare experience is a plus
- Pro at Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must be able to travel across Canada, to the United States and Europe, as needed
Applicants must be legally able to work in Canada. This is a full-time role with up to 10-15% travel to client sites, which is a critical part of the role. Throughline operates with a hybrid environment work model, so employees will work onsite in Midtown Toronto (Yonge and St. Clair) for 1 day per week and remotely for the remainder of the time.
