Job Types: part-time and full-time roles available with the option of a 4-day or 3-day work week

Salary: $80,000-$102,000.00 per year
Work setting: Center-based
As an Occupational Therapist (OT) on our team you are responsible for developing programs that enable individuals to participate, to their fullest level, in activities that occupy their daily lives. Your client-base will consist of children (age 2-18) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Take an inside look at what you will do each day:

  • Assess client needs and family priorities as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Complete assessments using tools such as standardized tests, criterion or curriculum referenced materials, or checklists
  • Develop and implement a treatment plan for each client, based on assessment results
  • Develop reports as required
  • Consult to Behaviour Analysts who supervise Applied Behaviour Analysis Programs for Children with ASD and other needs
  • Work collaboratively with the family and other community professionals
  • Maintain knowledge in current evidence-based practices
  • Collect data and make evidenced-based decisions in treatment
  • Supervise students pursuing education in Occupational Therapy
  • Represent OT department in Monarch House by contributing to clinical policies and procedures and other centre-wide visions

Here is what you will need to be successful:

  • At least 1 years' experience working with children with ASD
  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapist (OT)
  • Experience and familiarity with assessment tools (standardized tests, etc.)
  • Knowledge of current research and literature in the Occupational Therapist (OT) field
  • Member of COTBC / COTO / ACOT or eligible to apply
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Flexibility in scheduling clients

NOTE: We offer up to $10,000 relocation allowance and COTBC registration fee assistance if you're moving from another province
