Nimble Information Strategies Inc and Spacesaver Solutions Inc are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting, managing financial reporting processes, managing payroll, and ensuing compliance with regulatory requirements for all corporate entities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, and the ability to thrive in a demanding environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in day-to-day accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations and payroll.
Ensure payroll, T4's, ROE, vacation calculations are processed in a timely manner.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including invoicing, billing, and expense management.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Canadian ASPE.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
Assist with annual budgeting process and prepare regular forecasts to support financial planning and decision making.
Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address any audit findings or recommendations.
Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations.
Prepare and monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations and strategic initiatives.
Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and business growth opportunities.
Continuously improve accounting and financial processes to support organizational growth.
Assist the CFO in special projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements
MInimum of Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
CPA designation preferred or working towards designation is mandatory.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance role
Strong knowledge of Canadian ASPE and financial accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ADP system preferred.
Experience working within a multi-entity environment.
