Advance Wire Products Ltd. (AWP) is North America's leading designer and manufacturer of innovative merchandising solutions for the retail grocery, convenience, and pharmacy market. We are growing and have an immediate requirement for an experienced Red Seal Carpenter to join our Surrey team.

Since 1953, our team has worked with clients across North America to collaboratively solve basic to complex merchandising and display issues. Wood, metal, and plastic for retail, grocery, pharmacy, kiosks, and beyond. From consultation, to manufacturing, to installation, AWP will make the most ambitious display ideas a reality.

Primary Purpose:
Support the production of finished goods in the Plastic Department.

Reports to:
Production Manager

Accountabilities:
Set-up and process Job Orders efficiently and accurately based on the customers' needs as assigned by the Plastic Division Charge Hand or Manager.

Tasks and Duties:

1. 1.Set up workstations to cut raw materials, glue, heat bend and conduct other plastic fabrication operations.
2. Set-up and operate manual routering equipment Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to ensure quality standards are maintained
3. Conduct periodic equipment maintenance and basic repairs with assistance from the Plastic Fabricator I as necessary
4. Resolve assembly process problems and conduct periodic equipment maintenance and basic repairs including basic record keeping
5. May train others in the safe operation of plastic shop equipment

Prerequisites:
1. Demonstrated ability to process multiple job orders maintaining scheduled delivery dates.
2. Solid quality and performance history

3. Attendance, punctuality, and safety track record.

4. Be available to work day shift (7:00am-3:30pm - 5 Days a week) and/or afternoon shift (3:30pm - 12:30am - Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm - 7:30pm Fridays)
