Occupational Therapists
Location: Brampton, Ontario, Canada
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, On-site
Salary Range: $100,000 to $110,000 (68-106)
Description:
You will help develop individual and group programs with people affected by illness, injury, developmental disorders, emotional or psychological problems, and aging to maintain, restore, or increase their ability to care for themselves and to engage in work, school, or leisure. You will also develop and implement health promotion programs with individuals, community groups, and employers.
Work week duration:
Between 35 to 40 hours per week.
Job duties:
? Analyze clients' capabilities and expectations related to life activities through observation, interviews, and formal assessments
? Develop intervention programs to address clients' needs related to self-care, work and leisure activities
? Maintain clients' records
? Establish personalized care plans working as a member of an interdisciplinary team
? Consult and advise on health promotion programs to prevent disabilities and to maximize independent function in all activities of life
? May supervise support personnel and students and provide training.
Qualifications:
? Certification by the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) and in good standing
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
? Commitment to ongoing medical education.
? Ability to manage a diverse range of health issues in patients of all age groups.
? High on discipline, punctuality, courtesy, and ethics, have a strong moral compass, and are compassionate.
