We are currently looking for an Registered Practical Nurse interested in a part-time or Full Time position in North Bay for a Long Term care

Facility : Long Term care

Role and Responsibilities

1. Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the residents needs;
2. Develop, revise and implement the resident care profiles;
3. Order, administer and store medications and treatments in compliance with the policies of the facility, pharmacy and standards of the College of Nurses;
4. Provide direct patient care
5. Practice under the CNO standards
6. Follow facility policies and procedures
7. Provide direct patient care in a hospital setting
8. Practice under the College of Nurses standards

• Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited institution.
• BLS/ACLS & eCTAS Certification an asset.
• Seniors home, long-term care, and/or hospital experience an asset.
• Active Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Availability to work shifts: days/evenings/nights and weekends as required.
• Proficient technical skills to include but not limited to: MS Word and email.
• Able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal/communication & organizational skills Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills.
• Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (MMRV).
• Proof of negative TB skin test within the past one (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past five (5) years.
• Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certification.
