Voyago is hiring an Operations Support Coordinator for our Transit Operations in the Niagara Region.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Support Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the daily activities of operations including all payroll duties and administrative tasks, while providing administrative assistance in a variety of special projects. This position will be based in the Welland Office location for the Niagara Region.
Primary Responsibilities
Administrative
- Directs the activities of staff, ensuring that drivers are meeting the standards set out in various Transit contracts and ensuring business activities continue to be managed during staff vacation/sick leaves
- Performing administrative tasks, such as making travel arrangements, answering phones, scheduling meetings, etc.
- Planning and organizing conferences, events, staff training, and employee engagement activities.
- Preparing and maintaining operations documents and reports.
- Manage operational tasks under the direction of managers
- Handles logistical responsibilities, including, customer service, order entry, answering phones calls for transit operations, client services and quality management
Communication
- Execute sound judgement and excellent customer service
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish various tasks
- Provide data to internal support departments for KPIs and compliance
Payroll
- Execute sound judgement and excellent customer service
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders in order to accomplish various tasks
- Provide data to internal support departments for KPIs and compliance
Onboarding
- Assist with and help co-ordinate new driver on-boarding as needed
Requirements
Your Profile
- You have a minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- You have 1-2 years' relevant experience
- You have a valid G drivers license
- You can provide a clean drivers abstract
- You have in-depth knowledge of the Niagara Region
- You have strong communication skills
- You have enhanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook applications and technology
- You have strong and proven customer service experience
- You have experience in office management or an administrative role
- You have experience in payroll administration
