Advantage Flooring & Painting, a leader in the flooring industry, is excited to announce the opening of a Full-Time position for a Field Sales Representative. As a dynamic and forward-thinking company, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team. This position requires the candidate to work on-site and is not eligible for remote work. Located in South Ottawa, our new Field Sales Representative will play a crucial role in driving our business goals and expanding our customer base.

The ideal candidate will be the face of Advantage, engaging with potential and existing customers daily. Your role will involve a blend of sales acumen and product expertise, ensuring that clients receive first-class service and support. If you have a flair for engaging with people and a passion for driving sales growth, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Regularly visit potential and existing clients to establish and strengthen business relationships.
  • Perform detailed assessments of client sites, provide comprehensive demonstrations, and propose custom flooring and renovation solutions.
  • Drive sales numbers by meeting or exceeding monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Initiate and cultivate leads through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to craft compelling sales pitches and presentations.
  • Handle customer queries and concerns promptly, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, market activities, and competitive behaviors to enhance sales strategies.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Participate in trade shows, workshops, and other promotional events to represent and promote AdvantageFloor.com.
  • Drive to client locations as required, manage schedules and appointments effectively.
  • Work closely with the customer service team to ensure that post-sale support is being managed effectively.
Requirements
  • Proven track record as a Field Sales Representative with tangible success in direct sales.
  • Strong motivation and a drive to succeed in a competitive environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, contributing positively to team operations and working relationships.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capability to multitask and manage various project elements simultaneously.
  • High level of independence, accountability, and self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for transportation to and from client sites.
  • Ability to navigate various technologies including CRM software, data entry systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to maintaining a high degree of confidentiality and adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed within the assigned territory, potentially including evenings and weekends.
  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
