THE ROLE

This position plays a hands-on role in the project management of the development, production, and delivery of updates to the Tradable Bits platform as well as custom (one off) development projects. You will be responsible for moving product improvements and features forward and working closely with internal teams to ensure the necessary stakeholders are involved and progress is on track. You may also get your hands dirty testing new products and facilitating the future direction of the platform.

Please note this is ideally a primarily local role based out of our Vancouver HQ office, but a remote hire will be considered for the right candidate.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Quickly master the Tradable Bits platform and know the ins-and-outs of our complex, evolving technology.
  • Assist in the management of the development process and ensure that platform updates and fixes are on time and to specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with our internal teams to prioritize the resolution of any client concerns, bugs, or new features on the platform.
  • Critically evaluate design mocks for new products and features, working with UX/UI design to ensure designs address the scope and function of product scopes.
  • Communicate progress reports to the Product Development team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with the development of product launch plans and coordinate the marketing, sales and production teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Handhold client development projects from start to finish, including mapping out timelines and tracking progress step by step.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise throughout the product development process.

MUST HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 year software industry experience
  • Proven software implementation experience in a SaaS or web-based environment
  • Understanding or experience with SCRUM, KANBAN or other development methodologies
  • Managing CMS systems like Wordpress, Drupal, etc. an asset
  • BSc in Science, Math, Engineering, or related considered an asset

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/TRAITS

  • Basic understanding of the network protocols necessary for web development (HTTP, TLS, TCP)
  • Basic experience using Figma
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple ongoing projects efficiently
  • Knowledge of software product design and processes
  • Able to work cross-functionally and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
