Location: Grande Cache, Alberta
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off
Project Overview:
GenMec ACL is hiring Experienced Carpenters and or Journey Certified Carpenters to work on a commercial public works building project in the Grande Cache area. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your skills and work as part of a collaborative team.

Position Overview:
We are seeking Carpenters with hands-on experience in commercial construction and remodeling trades. Applicants should be able to work efficiently with a focus on quality and safety.
Job Duties:

Lay building foundations

Prepare for framing for cement

Mix and pour cement

Create cement forms

Pour cement for stairs

Frame the building including doors and windows

Put up siding

Put up drywall

Finish the building and ceiling

Put in flooring

Finish the roofing

Put in porches and grounds

Put up scaffolding

Build required items including specialty furniture

Build stairs and other items

Build other items as required

Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment

Assist with the delivery of other related municipal services

Respect and respond to direction given by lead-hand(s)

Contribute and participate in the effective use of the Quality Control System

Construct and maintain structural woodwork, shelving, flooring, tables, chairs etc.

Perform drywall, boarding, taping and sanding

Build and install cupboards, bookcases, tack boards etc.

Repair furniture

Ensure an adequate supply of material is available for preventative maintenance program

Perform other related duties, including minor duties of other trades where certification is not required and the work does not exceed own limitations

Understand and comply with all Policies and Procedures

Requirements:

Journey Certified Carpenter (optional but preferred).
Construction experience, ideally with knowledge of concrete.
CSO/CSTS certification.
Fall Protection Training.
