Job Summary:

The Line Operator under the direction of the ITR Manager, will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the ITR line as required, producing a clean, quality product; maintaining machines and cleanliness of plant; ensuring safety, including regulatory awareness of all equipment and operations.

**Hours of work will be 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM on average, Monday to Friday. Start time may vary 30-60 min depending on time of the year and weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Picks up, checks and places tires on the conveyor belt.
  • Check tires for rocks, steel, tubes, studs and thickness continuously and accurately, separating those not suitable for shredder.
  • Helps with maintenance as required.
  • Performs all functions according to proper safety practices.
  • Maintains good communication with fellow employees, lead hands, etc.
  • Cleans area around machine daily.
  • Performs other duties, including operating forklift, as required.

Requirements:

  • Forklift certification, experience or equivalent is an asset
  • Previous loader experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of appropriate safety procedures for all equipment and operations
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Willing to work in inclement weather
  • Physically fit and able to lift 50lbs
  • First Aid Certificate preferred (OFA Level 1)
