ABOUT LALINE

Body Cosmetics. Soul Care. Laline began its journey in 1999 with one small boutique, founded by two female entrepreneurs, who dreamed about holistically connecting the body and soul. Today, it brings its wholesome magic and unparalleled quality for all senses to thousands of people through 180+ stores worldwide.

THE TASK: Assess and provide recommendations for Laline Canada's product strategy, including it's current and future assortment – with a focus on driving growth through product for the Canadian business.

• Recommend a profitable product assortment focused on Laline's growth agenda
• Conduct reviews of category performance and build recommendations for areas of focus, priority, and reprioritisation
• Assess market gaps and recommend adjustments
• Review pricing assigned to portfolio items and recommend adjustments
• Bring a strong focus and understanding of our customer's needs/preferences to inform the work
• Identify gaps (potential product development opportunities) within the current range
• Recommend merchandising / planogram adjustments – to meet shopping behavior(s):
• Work with product development and creative team to discuss assortment recommendations

ROLE REQUIREMENTS | ABOUT YOU:

• Bring a deep understanding of the Canadian beauty market, including use of competitive analysis to drive informed development recommendations
• Specialization in Retail or Merchandising Management an asset
• Minimum three years of Merchandising or Buying experience is required. Vertical retail and/or omni channel experience is an asset
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret multiple data points across numerous channels and market segments
• Financial acumen and understanding of retail terms and math
• Ability to balance analytical and creative thinking
• Strong understanding of global and Canadian beauty marketplace and keen eye for product trends
• Strong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to articulate product and business proposals clearly to senior leadership
• Ability to work independently, prioritize competing tasks, and operate in an agile multifaceted workplace
