Additional responsibilities will include:
- Attend client meetings to understand their needs, offer tailored solutions, estimate or quote prices, credit terms, and delivery dates;
- Prepare or oversee the preparation of service or other contracts and consult with clients post-sale to resolve issues and provide continuous support;
- Establish and maintain rapport with potential business leads, arrange meetings, and promptly provide Head Office with contact details to facilitate successful contract negotiations;
- Manage service agreements and price increase activities;
- Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives, identify and develop new market opportunities, and implement strategies to enhance sales performance;
- Conduct research on organizations and individuals to uncover new business opportunities and generate leads;
- Monitor and execute new business opportunities on various bid sites;
- Enhance the value of existing customers while simultaneously attracting and converting new clients through regular prospecting and sales activities;
- Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally; provide accurate advice on the company's products and services;
- Foster and develop relationships with key customer accounts, ensuring ongoing client service coordination and support;
- Mentor and develop other sales associates;
- Create, manage, and deliver detailed business development reports to track and improve sales, revenue, and market expansion efforts;
- Promote and contribute to a positive company culture at every opportunity.
Requirements
- Relevant Business Development experience within the service industry;
- Tech savvy with extensive experience using MS Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook);
- Previous experience using a CRM program or ZoomInfo is considered an asset;
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities;
- Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic;
- Excellent networking and interpersonal relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect and build relationships with various individuals inside and outside the organization;
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment;
Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to put together proposals and contracts accurately; - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential to this role as well as the ability to manage telephone calls and inquiries;
- A drive to achieve sales targets and expand the company's presence in Western Canada;
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to attend client businesses throughout the Kootenays, Okanagan, lower mainland, Vancouver Island, Prince George and other areas required;
- This position may require occasional evening or weekend work.
This is a full-time opportunity located in Kelowna, BC, offering an excellent total compensation package, including employer paid benefits, growth opportunities, and a flexible hybrid working environment. We anticipate offering a base salary of $55,000 - $65,000 annually plus variable pay in the way of commission and/or an annual performance bonus.
