Who Are We? Located in Toronto and operating virtually, Focus is a one-stop; totally integrated fractional Sales Management solution. We take ownership and responsibility for all things that a full-time in-house Sales Leadership Team would do working in a larger organization – but at a cost that a small or mid-sized company can access.

Why do we exist? There are thousands of business-owners that are struggling to break free from the shackles of being responsible for managing, coaching and leading their sales organization. Hiring an experienced full-time VP of Sales might be a logical option, but for most small and mid-size businesses, it just isn't feasible. This is where we fit!

Here's what you need:

  • A desire to take ownership of multiple sales organizations with a real thirst to develop and implement underlying sales processes, structure, metrics and tools.
  • A joy for supporting, coaching and motivating salespeople, even when they don't want to be supported.
  • A belief that the only way to properly scale a sales organization is through ongoing measuring of metrics - no excuses!
  • Zero challenge of generating your own sales to fill your client base vs. soley relying on other lead generating initiatives.

We are looking for someone who will:

  • Be self-reliant by proactively prospecting and closing new business opportunities to fill your own "pod" of clients.
  • Lead and drive ongoing success in assigned customer plans (structure, strategy, process, tools, CRM, KPI's, compensation).
  • As part of running and optimizing a sales team, Implement and support CRM (e.g. HubSpot and Salesforce.com).
  • Organize, host & conduct weekly sales meetings with assigned clients.
  • Drive assigned sales rep development & coaching initiatives (typically 1-on-1 weekly).
  • Take full ownership of leading assigned sales reps to quota.
  • Participate in our client's recruitment and termination requirements as needed.
  • Play an active role in managing “up” (i.e. managing our client's expectations).
  • Use our HubSpot to manage client activities and opportunities.
  • Regularly liaison with internal resources to discuss client results vs. expectations and support requirements.

Requirements

What skills & talents are critical to be successful in this role?

  • 5+ years in "selling a service" experience.
  • 10+ years in Sales Management experience.
  • 5+ years in leading the implementation of a CRM (preferably Salesforce.com or HubSpot).
  • Direct involvement in the development of sales structure, process and strategy.
  • Ability to coach and not just manage.
  • Experience with and values the use of CRM.
  • Believes and actively uses metrics to support, coach and manage a sales team.
  • Warm, engaging, friendly personality.
  • Strong understanding of the selling process.
  • Willing to confront, challenge and lead changes.
  • Very open to learning.
