Job Title: Sales Representative – Marine Electrical Systems

Location: Remote, depending on candidate location

Compensation: Annual base 100k + incentive compensation, OTE 125-175k annually

Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Representative to join the team and drive the growth of the marine electrical systems division. This role will focus on developing and managing client relationships with marine architecture firms, ship owners, and shipbuilders. The ideal candidate will be adept at selling complex, high-value products and services, with a strong understanding of marine engineering and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify and engage potential clients in the marine industry, including ship owners, shipbuilders, and marine architecture firms. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company targets for marine electrical systems. Customize sales presentations and proposals to meet the specific needs of clients.
  • Product Knowledge & Expertise: Gain a deep understanding of our innovative electrical propulsion systems and complex electrical designs for large vessels. Be able to effectively communicate the benefits and technical aspects of our products.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and customer needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and project management teams to ensure a clear understanding of client requirements and to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project progress. Provide regular reports on sales performance and market insights to management.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the marine or industrial sector, with a proven track record of managing complex sales processes and closing high-value deals.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of marine engineering and electrical systems, with the ability to grasp and communicate complex technical concepts.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend industry events, and support project activities.
