POSITION SUMMARY

As a member of a growing team, the Finance Business Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting the continuous improvement of Finance systems and processes by implementing solutions to maximize department efficiencies. This role drives projects and supports operational activities as part of aligning Finance and Tax with all business units across NFI Group.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Supporting/leading multiple, complex projects, including defining and managing scope, communicating with stakeholders, supporting analysis, working to timelines and holding all project members accountable, ensuring development and testing are executed, and delivering minimum viable product/solution.
  • Providing leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others, communicating with senior and executive leadership and other stakeholders in Finance, Tax, ITS, Process Improvement, and other stakeholders across the organization; driving to resolve issues; holding self and team accountable for results.
  • Implementing and supporting system solutions that align with the strategic direction of Finance and Tax and the organization as a whole; includes system design, system integrations, and system configurations, and can also include post-implementation/ongoing operational support.
  • Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of business and systems processes, the information/data required and generated by these processes, and the system functionality that ensures these processes are cost-effective and efficient.
  • Organizing and facilitating meetings and interviews with business users and subject-matter experts (SME) to gather information to identify and define their business processes and the scope and impact of their business process issues.
  • Identifying and supporting continuous improvement opportunities in the business through reviews and assessments of current business processes and systems.
  • Led acceptance testing of new business systems and enhancements to ensure system functions following detailed specifications.
  • Consolidate finance and tax processes to best practice for all locations when possible.
  • Developing and applying the team's Standard Operating Procedures (templates, metrics, etc.).

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Project Management and/or Business/Systems Analysis training is strongly recommended.
  • CA, CGA, CMA, CPA designation, or significant experience in finance/accounting roles.
  • System configuration and/or development knowledge is preferred.
  • 3-5 Years' experience implementing/supporting/administrating ERPs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Lean Yellow Belt certification is an asset.
  • Exceptional planning, organization, analytical, interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of business process redesign or reengineering
