We are excited to grow our Dynamics 365 Business Central team with a full-time role for a Quality Assurance Analyst.

Primary Location: Burnaby, BC (Head Office)

Position Summary:

As a Quality Assurance Analyst I, you will play a critical role in ensuring our software meets customer requirements. Reporting to the Senior Development Team Lead, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team to identify defects, verify solutions to customer issues, and uphold the highest quality standards. Your efforts will be essential in delivering reliable, high-quality software to our customers.

As a Quality Assurance Analyst your responsibilities will include:

Requirements Analysis and Design:

  • Analyze customer requirements and design specifications, participate in product review meetings to provide identified suggestions and feedback.
  • Participate in critical design review (CDR) and creation of functional design documentation.

Testing, Test Planning, and Execution:

  • Conduct back-end testing, execute SQL queries and inspect data.
  • Execute functional, fix verification, regression, compatibility, system, integration, performance and usability types of testing as required.
  • Perform manual testing based on test cases, and create and maintain automation scripts and recordings.
  • Perform load and stress testing; verify regression results, debug issues.
  • Create test plans and test cases for small to medium features.

Issue Analysis and Management:

  • Verify solutions to issues raised by customers and the Customer Support Team.
  • Analyze and reproduce issues raised by customers and assign severity and priority to issues raised.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Working knowledge or automated testing tools and database queries.
  • Knowledge of ERP modules is considering an asset.
  • Solid understanding of quality assurance and testing methodologies relative to the software development lifecycle.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years' of software testing experience, or equivalent co-op/internship work.
  • 2+ years' of experience testing ERP software, or related business application software.

Compensation Package:

At Binary Stream, we know compensation is important to our people. To stay competitive with our pay and benefits, annually we collect and analyze industry benchmarking data from the technology sector across Canada. This data is used to regularly update our salary ranges.

Pay Range Insights: This pay range signifies the minimum and maximum for a new hire in this role. The pay we offer a successful candidate will be determined by factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and experience. In exceptional cases, the compensation we offer may fall outside this range.

Pay Range for new hires: CAD $56,300 - $67,600
