Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis. The ideal candidate must be available to work on-site in Innisfil, ON from Monday to Friday - 8 am to 5 pm. Primary responsibilities will include supervising and working alongside the team to ensure all scheduled shipments and raw materials get loaded and unloaded promptly and safely as per the company's procedures and policies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Track the shipping schedule using the internal system and communicate with the logistics department.
  • Ensure all samples are collected and shipped materials have QA approval, complying with ISO policies.
  • Arrange shunts to and from the offsite warehouse as needed.
  • Monitor silo levels with the production team to meet customer needs.
  • Load finished products into bulk tankers and package products using automated systems.
  • Complete paperwork and labeling for shipments, ensuring timely shift reports.
  • Stage products, ensure quality approval, and load trucks and trailers per approved plans.
  • Operate lift trucks, dock loading platforms, and stretch wrappers; inspect and fuel/charge equipment.
  • Train and develop new and existing employees.
  • Perform tasks such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing, unpacking, and general manual labor.
  • Identify repair needs and assist mechanics or electricians as necessary.
  • Record statistics and perform cleanup duties at the end of each shift.
  • Provide courteous customer service in all interactions.
  • Keep accurate records for potential Ministry of Labour inquiries.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Skills/Knowledge Requirements:

  • Must have a college diploma.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Should be trained in WHMIS.
  • Must have a valid Forklift license.
  • 3 years of experience with loading/unloading trailers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
