THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are currently seeking an energetic multi-tasker to join our team as a full-time Warehouse Lead! As the Warehouse Lead you would play an integral role in our organization by contributing to various functions in our warehouse. You will be responsible for fulfilling logistics involved with receiving, processing, and storing parts inventory and equipment. Reporting to the Regional Internal Operations Manager (Victoria) in conjunction with the Provincial Inventory and Asset Manager, the Warehouse Lead will support internal departments including Operations, Administration and the Service Team.

Objectives & Responsibilities of the Warehouse Lead:

  • Receiving inventory, verifying product counts and stocking of shelves.
  • Manually picking parts and equipment for scheduled jobs.
  • Picking up supply orders from local vendors.
  • Delivering parts and equipment to off-site warehouse and Field Technicians as needed.
  • Maintaining the off-site warehouse by collecting garbage, recyclables, and stocking of technician supplies.
  • Assist in maintenance of technician tools, supplies and equipment .
  • Maintain inventory control procedures. Conducting product cycle counts and informing the purchasing department of future demands.
  • Generate and receive purchase orders with local suppliers and central purchasing team.
  • Liaison with scheduling and estimating team on product availability for job scheduling.
  • Adhere to and embrace the company's Core Values and Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
  • Participate in a culture of continuous improvement by following best practices and adherence to standard work documentation.
  • Maintaining an organized, clean, and safe workplace.
  • Additional duties as they may arise.

The ideal candidate would have the following attributes, strengths, and experience:

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs for extended periods of time in a fast-paced repetitive work environment.
  • Ability to stand on your feet for entire shifts- bending, leaning, crouching, and walking.
  • Experience working in a warehouse or similar position.
  • Experience in the Fire Prevention Industry is an asset.
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Greet customers walking in
  • Resourceful nature; able to proactively problem-solve and navigate various priorities.
  • Must have excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license (clean drivers abstract required)
