Status: Full Time position

Shifts: Monday to Friday available from 7:00am to 5:00pm

Weekend – as and when needed.

Wage Rate: $19.73

Job Description

Primary Job Functions:

The Store Leader role is a hands-on experience that will develop your supervisory experience, coaching skills, coffee/ tea passion and business acumen, all to build your understanding of store management. You will learn how to create success for a multi-million-dollar business, create and develop great teams, and building a meeting place in your community that nurtures customers. These foundational principles set up partners for success for careers in store management and leadership.


What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mentality with experience in a sale focused environment
  • Preferably with Starbucks experience as barista, store operator or store leader.
  • Work regularly demands in excess of 40 hours per week including variable hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and/ or holidays.
  • Minimum High School or GED
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
  • Ability to communicate with co workers and other departments with professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability for exceptional customer service, willingness to go beyond low requirements.
  • Ability to work under supervision and comply with standard procedures.
  • Must comply with any dress code requirements, no jewelleries in work areas.
Qualifications

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Ability to communicate with co workers and other departments with professionalism.

  • Minimum 2-year supervisory experience in a fast food quick serve industry
  • Must have Starbucks experience
  • Must have knowledge on how to operate and program a point of sales (POS) preferably Micros.
  • Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent data.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

  • Food Safe Level 1 and WHIMIS certification up to date an asset

Physical Requirements:

  • Significant walking or other means of mobility.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for long period of time.
  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and pull and frequently lift up to 15.88 kilograms/35 lbs and occasionally lift/move 22.68 kg/50lbs.

Working Conditions (may add additional conditions specific to defined work location) :

  • Generally in an indoor setting; however, may participate in outside activities and events.
  • Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to a warm / hot environment, and may be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
