Job Title: Lead – Salter & Snow Removal Crews

Position Overview:
As the Lead for North Country Property Maintenance Inc., you will oversee and manage salter and snow removal crews, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely during the winter months. You will be responsible for organizing, supervising, and executing daily tasks provided by the supervisor. This role requires flexibility and availability 24/7 to respond to changing weather conditions and urgent needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervision of Crews: Manage and oversee salter and snow removal crews, ensuring that all team members are performing their tasks efficiently and following safety protocols.
• Task Management: Execute and delegate daily tasks as assigned by the supervisor, ensuring all snow removal and salting activities are completed in a timely manner.
• 24/7 Availability: Be on-call 24/7 during the winter season to respond to weather events, crew needs, and emergency situations as they arise.
• Equipment Management: Ensure all snow removal and salting equipment is maintained, operational, and ready for use at all times. Perform routine checks and minor maintenance as necessary.
• Weather Monitoring: Stay updated on weather forecasts and conditions to coordinate crews accordingly and respond to snow and ice events.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that salting and snow removal standards are met. Address any issues or customer concerns promptly.
• Safety Management: Ensure that all crew members follow safety guidelines and proper procedures while operating machinery and performing tasks in hazardous winter conditions.
• Reporting: Provide daily reports to the supervisor on crew performance, task completion, and any issues or challenges faced during snow and ice management.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in snow removal and/or salting operations, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple crews and work under pressure in winter conditions.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required during the winter season.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating snow removal equipment such as plows, salters, and snow blowers.
• Knowledge of weather patterns and safe snow removal practices.
