Overview of Position

The Associate, Asset management will report to the Vice President, Asset Management and will play an active role in the oversight of our portfolio of multifamily investments, primarily located in the Montreal market. The Associate will be responsible for the financial analysis, and strategic oversight of our portfolio by conducting market research, working collaboratively with our investments, property management and capital management teams, and preparing financial models and investor reporting. This position is based in Greyspring's office in Toronto.

Greyspring is seeking a qualified and talented professional with a background in finance, real estate, or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in asset management, market research, financial modeling, investment analysis, and due diligence, preferably with Canadian multifamily experience. They should also have strong proficiency with Excel, excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a portfolio manager for their assigned portfolio of assets.
  • Conduct market research to develop a deep understanding of our portfolio and the multifamily investment market.
  • Work collaboratively with our internal teams to ensure that we are successful in implementing our investment strategy and meeting timelines for deliverables.
  • Run financial analysis and modeling to evaluate our current investments, proposing and implementing changes to our investment strategy as required.
  • Prepare financial packages for consultants and lenders on acquisition, disposition and potential financing.
  • Participate in the due diligence on acquisition, financing and disposition processes as required.
  • Take a leadership role in developing property budgets.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and market conditions.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in Canadian multifamily.
  • Experience in market research, financial modeling, investment analysis, and due diligence.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, or a related field.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, thoroughness, and organization skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and a self-starter working in a fast-paced environment.
