Valard Construction LP is looking to fill the positions of Journeymen Powerline Technicians and Apprentices to join our team at Drayton Valley, AB. We are looking for self-motivated, team player, dedicated individuals who are willing to work as part of a dynamic team that provides crucial support to Valard's projects.

Requirements

  • Qualified Red Seal Journeymen Powerline Technician.
  • Class 5 license minimum, preference given to 1 & 3 license.
  • Experience in climbing wood pole structures.
  • Experience/training in craning and rigging.
  • 25kV Rubber Glove experience considered an asset.
  • First Aid and CPR.
  • Experience working on ATCO and Fortis utility systems.
  • Working at Heights.
  • Familiar with operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment.
  • Experience in maintenance and construction of distribution lines, coupled with the ability to follow instructions and procedures.
  • Qualified switchman for ATCO and Fortis systems considered an asset.
  • Willing to travel and work extended hours.
  • Safety oriented.
  • Positive Attitude and good work ethic.
