The Systems & Support Administrator will be responsible for the company's I.T. infrastructure (hardware), systems management (Windows operating system), communication (Email exchange), network management and disaster recovery.

Manage and monitor system performance, including facilitate new software and hardware to ensure the business can function productively.

Ability to adapt quickly in a fast pace and ever-changing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities Daily Operation

  • Establish and provide timely support for company systems, including operating systems, software, servers, storage, and hardware in a networked environment.
  • Administer desktop systems, including end-user desktop/thin client systems, operating systems, and peripherals (printers, scanners) in a networked environment.
  • Ensure and monitor the optimization of daily data storage and backup systems. •
  • Manage and configure operating systems, maintain internet connections, firewalls, and monitor security tools. •
  • Assist in testing software and applications, and document network configurations. •
  • Respond promptly to security issues, service requests, and end-user inquiries. •
  • Collaborate with the IT/IS team to ensure that computer systems, networks, and applications are functioning optimally. •
  • Maintain effective written and verbal communication through reports, emails, calls, meetings, and other channels. •

Requirements

Qualifications Education

Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field.

Microsoft certification is an asset.

•IT User Support/Helpdesk: 2-5 years of related experience in IT user support/helpdesk, with in-depth technical knowledge of Windows systems and MS Office to support users experiencing issues.

•Proficiency in desktop software, communication protocols, desktop hardware, and network hardware is essential to maintain an efficient, effective, and secure IT environment. Enterprise Computing Infrastructure:

•Knowledge and ability to support the enterprise computing infrastructure, including enterprise servers, storage devices, hardware, and software.

•Responsibilities include managing, storing, operating, scheduling, supporting, and maintaining these systems.

•General IT Knowledge: Broad understanding of IT concepts, including Software Applications, Database Management, IT Security, IT Architecture, and System Administration. • Desktop Systems Support: Experience in preparing, implementing, and supporting desktop systems, including system imaging and deployment.

•Storage Systems: Experience in configuring and supporting storage systems.

•Server Administration: Experience in administering File, Print, and Application servers.

•Backup/Restore and Disaster Recovery: Knowledge and experience in Backup/Restore procedures and disaster recovery planning.

•Networking: Experience in networking, including IP networking, cabling, switch, and firewall configuration.

•Unified Communication: Experience with Unified Communication technologies such as VTC, VoIP, and SIP.

•Client Interaction: Experience interacting with clients to resolve incidents or implement changes in enterprise systems.

•Scripting: Proficiency in writing and maintaining scripts in PowerShell.

•Administration: Experience with Active Directory (AD), Domain Name System (DNS), and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).

•Virtualization Technologies: Experience working with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V and Windows Cluster management (SQL/Hyper-V).

•MS Exchange Servers: Knowledge and experience with MS Exchange servers.
